Hi Parents and Coaches,
Unfortunately, I have to inform everyone that the 2020 Spring Soccer season was officially cancelled. Over the past few weeks we’ve been working closely with the other clubs in the THJSL, THPRD and Beaverton School District to determine if a delayed or shortened season were feasible. However, with Governor Brown’s new strict “stay at home” orders and the uncertainty on timelines that still exists, we felt that the right thing to do was to cancel the spring season.
I appreciate that this is disappointing news for many (me included), but we feel it is in the best interest of the families and communities in which we serve. The decision was not made in haste, but we felt that it was the only option given the circumstances.
For those of you that have children registered, we are offering two options:
Option 1: Roll-over to Fall 2020 – We can roll your Spring 2020 registration over to the Fall 2020 season. This will avoid the need to re-register or sign-up. We will be able to update kids grades appropriately and there will be no additional cost for fall soccer. This option also provides the opportunity to participate in the summer YDP and rec clinics that we are hoping to host – free of charge.
Option 2: Full Refund – You can receive a full refund – no questions asked.
Roll-overs or refunds will be processed by our registrar. You can email her directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please be patient with her as she will have over 250 children to roll-over or process refunds.

I’ll leave this message with a great quote from John O’Sullivan from the Changing the Game project, because I couldn’t have said it better myself.
“Next time I get to watch my kids play, I know I will appreciate it so much more. I will focus more on the fact that they can play, and not how they play. It will be a win simply by stepping on the field. I will love each and every moment. I will accept the not so good, and celebrate the good. I will honor the fact that my children have the opportunity and courage to be in the arena, whatever arena that may be. And most importantly, I will simply love watching them play. ”
