Recreational Coronavirus Update — 4/30/2020

Hello Families,

In the 46 years of Aloha United’s existence, we’ve never experienced anything like COVID-19. We’ve lost an entire season due to Oregon’s stay at home order and are still dealing with uncertainty as to what the future holds. We know that each of our families have been impacted in different ways. We have essential workers continuing to put themselves at risk by going to their jobs so the rest of us can safely stay at home and travel out only when necessary. We have medical professionals working on the front lines to help the sick. We also know that many families haven’t been able to work during the crisis and are worried about how to continue to support their families. While no two family’s situations are exactly same, we want to acknowledge that this is a difficult time for everyone.

As we’ve clearly articulated in our AUSC Mission Statement, we seek to provide an equal opportunity for all soccer players to participate. The financial hardships being experienced by our community should not prevent our children from participating in youth soccer. While we do not know exactly what a Fall 2020 season will look like yet, we are excited to announce our AUSC COVID-19 Response Program. This program is geared toward removing any financial burden for playing recreational soccer from our community.

Registration will officially open on May 1, 2020 with the hopes of beginning practices in August 2020. Registration will remain open through at least July 31st as we continue to monitor Oregon’s response to COVID-19. Please go to and click on the “Register Today” link.

AUSC COVID-19 Response Program

For the upcoming Fall 2020 season we are implementing a program to allow families to “pay what they can afford”. While our official registration fees remain flat from prior years ($95 for Grade 2 and above, $65 for Micros), we have established a COVID-19 fund to cover the cost of any child that wants to play soccer this fall. During the registration process, simply select the amount that you can afford to pay. Options include:

Grade 02 Through High School:

$0 – full scholarship

$25 – ~75% scholarship

$50 – ~50% scholarship

$95 – Regular Price

$190 – Regular Price + Sponsor Another Child

$0 – full scholarship

$25 – ~60% scholarship

$65 – Full Price

$130 – Regular Price + Sponsor Another Child

We hope to see everyone on the fields as soon as Oregon lifts the “Stay at home” order and we are given the green light to safely resume activities.

Stay Safe and Stay Healthy!
