Club News

We have had a very interesting month with the weather playing a major factor in our practice and early game schedules. We have moved to Mountain View Champions Park for practices starting this week 2/25, with high hopes of being at the facility for the foreseeable future. I wanted to remind parents that with the cold weather impacting our practice schedule, it is important for player development that they get touches on the ball every day. Player development is more than just practices during the week, but a team effort between the coaches, the parents and the player. More to come on this soon as the club looks to finalize a formal long-term player development plan.

Please join me in welcoming our newest Aloha United Competitive Board member, Christina Tilson. Christina comes to us as the current team manager for our Youth Development Program (YDP), where she has done a great job in communicating to the parents regarding team activities. We look forward to working with Christina, as we are currently working on getting her acclimated to her new role with the club. If you want to contact Christina directly, you can reach her on her new email [email protected]. Christina replaces Kristen Brown as the AUCSC Competitive Board Secretary. After many years of dedication to the club, Kristen decided to step down earlier this month. Please join me in thanking Kristen for all her hard work and dedication over the years, and in welcoming Christina to the board.

Competitive teams

This weekend marks the official beginning of spring season for our competitive teams.

Our AUCSC 07 Girls team was set to play in Redmond OR this weekend, but that game was canceled due to travel conditions over the pass. With the game cancelation, their first game will be the following weekend on Sunday 3/10 @9am at Mountain View Champions Park on Field #1

The AUCSC 07 Boys team plans to be in action this weekend with Games on Saturday 3/2 @1:30pm and Sunday 3/3 @10:30am At Mountain View Champions Park field #1 for a double header weekend. If you happen to be in the area, please stop by and cheer on the team in their first games this year.

The AUCSC 05 Girls team gets to start with a weekend off, but they are planning on playing their first games the following weekend with a double header as well. Their first game is on Saturday 3/9 @ 10am at the THPRD complex with their second game on Sunday 3/10 @4:30pm at Conestoga.

The AUCSC 02 Girls Futsal Team had a great start to their season in February, with a fantastic win in their opening futsal game. In the two following games they had hard fought battles resulting in close games. They look to rebound this weekend with their next game on Saturday 3/2 @2:50 at Rose City West.

YDP

YDP teams, your first game will be on Sunday 3/10 at Liberty High School. Game schedules are due out this weekend. We will get those out to you as soon as we get them so you can start to plan your schedules over the next couple of months.
