Aloha United Soccer Club has been serving the soccer community since 1974 and strives to introduce young players to the game of soccer while focusing on having fun, learning the fundamentals of soccer and promoting an active environment.
All recreational teams are coached by volunteer coaches go through club provided and state required trainings. We also invest in our coaches by reimbursing them for USA Soccer Grassroots courses that are appropriate for each age group. We are committed to providing our volunteer coaches with the training and support necessary to run practices that are player focused and fun.
All of our recreational teams are organized seasonally for the fall and spring. The fall season runs from early August thru the end of October. The spring season runs from early April to the end of May (before Memorial Day).
Micros
Our club’s youngest players are organized into teams within the club and play against other AUSC teams on Saturdays. This program focuses on introducing soccer and team sports to pre-school, kindergarten and first grade age children. We play 4v4 soccer into 6-ft wide pop-up nets. Each child is guaranteed at least 50% playing time on Saturdays and practice is never mandatory. Teams consist of 6-8 children per team. Boys and Girls are separated into different teams and divisions.
We run our training sessions in a combination of Academy Style group practices and team practices. We use this program to introduce our youngest players to soccer, to train our volunteer coaches, and introduce our new families to the vision and mission of the club.
Fall Micros Season –12 weeks total with two practices per week and at least 8 games (weather permitting). One practice each week is run Academy Style our Micros Coordinator. The second practice is organized by the team coach. The cost is $65 per child.
Tualatin Hills Junior Soccer League (Grade 02 – High School)
Our club is a proud member of the Tualatin Hills Junior Soccer League (thjsl.com). Starting in Grade 02 and running through High School, we field boys and girls teams in all age groups. Our Recreational club is committed organizing teams that provide an environment that allows for all children to enjoy playing soccer. We continue to develop individual soccer skills, introduce team tactics and emphasize life skills appropriate for each level. We offer both a fall and spring season each year. The cost is $95 per child per season for early registrants ($105 for late registrants)!
Grade 02: Teams of 6-8 players that play 4v4 with 4-ft popup nets. Games are played using 10-minute quarters.
Grade 03 & 04: Teams of 10 – 12 players that play 7v7. Goalies are first introduced at this level. Games are played using 25-minute halves.
Grade 05 & 06: Teams of 13 – 16 players that play 9v9. Games are played using 30-minute halves.
Grade 07+: Teams of 16-18 players that play 11v11. Games are played using 35-minute halves.
